About Our Team

Chemiseed Sdn. Bhd. is led by a team with more than two decades of direct experience in tropical cover crop seed supply, plantation agronomy, and soil health product development. Based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, we serve plantation operations and agricultural projects across Southeast Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East.

Shaharil Abdul

Founder and Managing Director

Shaharil founded Chemiseed in 2003 and has built it into one of Malaysia's leading suppliers of tropical legume cover crop seeds, organic soil conditioners, and plantation input products. His field experience spans oil palm, rubber, cocoa, coffee, and coconut estates across Malaysia, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, West Africa, East Africa, and Latin America.

His technical expertise covers species selection for tropical plantation ground cover, soil nitrogen management through legume cover cropping, erosion control strategies for sloped terrain, organic soil conditioning with humic acid-based products, and international seed supply chain logistics including phytosanitary compliance and export documentation.

Under his leadership, Chemiseed has supplied cover crop seeds and soil products to more than 500 plantation projects across three continents, with documented erosion reduction of 30 to 50 percent in established cover crop stands. He also developed the SoilBoost EA product line, a proprietary humic acid soil conditioner manufactured exclusively by Chemiseed.

Every recommendation we make is grounded in published research and validated by field observation. Our product data is sourced from peer-reviewed tropical agronomy literature, MARDI (Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute) research bulletins, FELDA establishment guidelines, CIRAD and ICRAF field trial reports, and our own observation records across multiple tropical regions.

We provide hands-on agronomic support at every stage: pre-sale species selection and seeding rate calculation, planting method guidance tailored to your crop type and terrain, and post-sale monitoring support to ensure successful ground cover establishment.

The Chemiseed Group

Chemiseed operates alongside our sister company, Kudzu Seeds Trading (Philippines), to serve plantation operations worldwide. Our combined product line includes five tropical legume cover crop species (Pueraria javanica, Calopogonium mucunoides, Centrosema pubescens, Mucuna bracteata, Calopogonium caeruleum), organic soil conditioners (SoilBoost EA), organic fertilizers (CSB Organico), water retention agents (Rootlife), and pest management tools (RB Lure).

Both companies are registered with the Malaysian Ministry of Agriculture and hold the necessary certifications for international seed export, including phytosanitary documentation for shipments across Asia-Pacific, Africa, the Middle East, and the Americas.
