Why trust Chemiseed
Why trust Chemiseed
Chemiseed Sdn. Bhd. is a Malaysian manufacturer and supplier of tropical cover crop seeds and soil-improvement products for oil palm, rubber, and other plantation systems. Here is how we back what we sell.
Seed quality and integrity
Our cover crop seeds (Pueraria javanica, Calopogonium mucunoides, Centrosema pubescens, Mucuna bracteata, and Calopogonium caeruleum) are tested for germination before they leave our facility. We can provide batch and germination information on request, so plantation and government buyers can plan with confidence.
Phytosanitary documentation, stated accurately
Chemiseed exports from Malaysia. Where the destination country requires one, a seed consignment travels with a phytosanitary certificate issued by Malaysia's national plant protection organisation, the Department of Agriculture Malaysia (Jabatan Pertanian Malaysia), under the IPPC framework. That certificate is the document described by ISPM 12.
We want to be precise about a distinction that is often blurred in this industry. ISPM 7 is a standard for national authorities, not for companies: it governs how an NPPO organises and audits its export certification system. No seed company is, or can be, "ISPM 7 certified", and we previously described our shipments that way on this page. That wording was wrong and has been corrected.
Import permits and the admissibility of a consignment in the destination country remain the buyer's responsibility. SoilBoost EA is a mined mineral product rather than plant material, so a phytosanitary certificate is generally not the applicable document for it.
Products we manufacture
Rootlife, CSB Organico, and Seed Activator are manufactured by Chemiseed Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia. SoilBoost EA is manufactured exclusively for Chemiseed Sdn. Bhd. and Kudzu Seeds Trading. We state the manufacturer clearly and keep product claims tied to the documented specification rather than to marketing language. See SoilBoost EA field observations.
Research-backed agronomy
The performance figures we publish are drawn from institutional and peer-reviewed sources, including MPOB, PROSEA, the Tropical Forages database, and published field trials, and we present them with their method and context rather than as guarantees. Where a figure cannot be traced to a sound primary source we remove it and say so on the page rather than substituting another number. Field results depend on crop, soil, rainfall, and management. Review our evidence hub or compare the five species side by side.
Documentation for buyers
For plantation, distributor, and government procurement we can provide:
- Technical Data Sheets (TDS)
- Certificate of Analysis (COA) and germination information
- Safety Data Sheets (SDS) where applicable
- Phytosanitary certificates (ISPM 12, issued by the Department of Agriculture Malaysia) for seed export where the destination requires one
- Product catalogue and application guidance

Agronomy support, not just a catalogue
Our team can recommend the right species, seeding rate, and establishment plan for your site, and help you size an order. One thing worth asking us about before you order: Mucuna bracteata is quoted in nursery seedlings and grams of seed, not kilograms, so a kg/ha figure for it is out by a factor of roughly forty. Free planning tools are available too: the cover crop calculator, the nitrogen fixation calculator, and the full tool set. Meet the team.
Plan your order with confidence
Send us your crop, area, and location, and we will recommend the right product and quote accurately.
