How to use SoilBoost EA for durian, melon, and fruit trees

How to use SoilBoost EA for durian, melon, and fruit trees

SoilBoost EA improves soil structure and nutrient availability for premium fruit crops. With humic and fulvic acids from Leonardite, support root development, cation exchange capacity and nutrient availability across durian, melon, citrus, and banana plantations. It is a soil conditioner, not a fertiliser and not a substitute for one, and we do not put a yield percentage on it.

What is SoilBoost EA?

SoilBoost EA is a premium soil conditioner formulated from 100% Leonardite ore, providing natural humic and fulvic acids. These organic compounds improve soil structure, enhance nutrient cycling, and strengthen root systems by increasing cation exchange capacity (CEC).

Application guide by crop type

Crop Application Rate Method Frequency
Durian 750-1,000 ppm Soil drench or fertigation Every 6-8 weeks during growth
Melon 500-750 ppm Foliar spray or soil drench Every 4 weeks from transplant
Banana 750 ppm Soil drench Every 6 weeks post-planting
Citrus 500-1,000 ppm Fertigation or soil drench Every 8 weeks during season
General Fruit Trees 500-750 ppm Foliar or soil application Every 6-8 weeks

Dosage and application methods

Foliar spray

Dissolve 500-750g of SoilBoost EA in 1,000 litres of water to achieve 500-750 ppm. Spray early morning or late afternoon to minimise evaporation. Best for rapid nutrient uptake during growth phases.

Soil drench

Standard Rate: 1-2 kg per hectare dissolved in 1,000 litres water, applied directly to soil around root zone.

Fertigation

Integrate SoilBoost EA into your drip irrigation system at 500-1,000 ppm. Compatible with most fertiliser programs.

Key benefits

Improved nutrient uptake

In a meta-analysis of humic acid products as a class, nitrogen-use efficiency averaged about 27% higher than untreated controls (Ma, Cheng and Zhang 2024). That work did not test SoilBoost EA, and the effect diminishes outside roughly pH 6 to 8. Humic acids chelate essential minerals, making them more available to roots.

Enhanced soil structure

Increases cation exchange capacity, improving water retention and nutrient-holding capacity.

Root development

Stimulates robust root systems that penetrate deeper and access more nutrients.

Soil pH

Response is strongest in moderate-pH soils (6.0-8.0) and diminishes outside that range. SoilBoost EA is a soil conditioner, not a liming material, and it does not correct soil pH.

When to apply

Growing Season: Begin applications 4-6 weeks after transplanting. Continue every 4-8 weeks throughout active growth and flowering.

Pre-Flowering: Increase frequency to every 4 weeks to maximise nutrient uptake during reproductive phase.

Post-Harvest: One application 2-3 weeks after harvest supports tree recovery.

Frequently asked questions

Can I mix SoilBoost EA with other fertilisers?

Yes. SoilBoost EA is fully compatible with NPK fertilisers, micronutrients, and pesticides. It enhances their effectiveness by improving nutrient availability.

What pack size should I choose?

500g is ideal for small gardens or trials. 1kg suits smallholders managing 1-5 hectares. 25kg is economical for larger plantations (5+ hectares).

How long before I see results?

Foliar applications show visible improvements within 7-14 days. Soil applications take 3-4 weeks. Maximum benefits appear after 2-3 consecutive applications.

Is SoilBoost EA certified organic?

No. SoilBoost EA is a mined leonardite mineral product and holds no organic certification, and it must not be presented as certified organic or as conferring access to certified-organic markets. Of the Chemiseed range, only Hyacinth Plus carries BAFS and Control Union certification. It contains only natural humic and fulvic acids from leonardite ore with no synthetic additives, but that is not a certification: confirm acceptability with your certification body before use.

Ready to work on your root zone?

Trial SoilBoost EA on a limited area with an untreated comparison strip, and judge it on your own ground. Analysis is run per batch, on request: published figures are typical, not guaranteed constants, and a certificate of analysis for the batch supplied is available on request.
