How to Order Cover Crop Seeds and SoilBoost from Indonesia
Indonesian plantations and estates can order Chemiseed cover crop seeds and SoilBoost EA directly from Malaysia. Contact Windhi, our Indonesia representative, with your crop, planted area, and product. She prepares a quotation in USD, arranges export phytosanitary certification, and coordinates freight to your nearest Indonesian port. The whole process is supported in Bahasa Indonesia.

How the ordering process works
- Get in touch with Windhi. Send your crop (for example oil palm), the area to be planted in hectares, and the products you need.
- Receive a quotation. Windhi returns a quote in USD covering seed or product quantity, packaging, documentation, and an indicative freight estimate to your chosen Indonesian port.
- Confirm and prepare documents. Once you confirm, Chemiseed arranges the export phytosanitary certificate from the Department of Agriculture Malaysia and the supporting commercial documents.
- Shipment and delivery. Goods are dispatched by sea or air freight. Windhi keeps you updated through clearance and delivery.
Phytosanitary certification and import documentation
Cover crop seeds are agricultural plant material, so they ship with an official export phytosanitary certificate issued by Malaysia's national plant protection organisation (NPPO), the Department of Agriculture Malaysia (Jabatan Pertanian Malaysia). That certificate is the document described by ISPM 12. A separate standard, ISPM 7, sets out how an NPPO organises and audits its export certification system as a whole; it applies to the national authority rather than to Chemiseed, and no seed company is or can be "ISPM 7 certified". This page previously described the certificate itself as issued under the ISPM 7 framework, which named the wrong standard for the document, and that has been corrected. SoilBoost EA, a Leonardite-derived humic acid soil conditioner, is a mined mineral product rather than plant material, so a phytosanitary certificate is generally not the applicable document for it; it ships with its product specification and commercial documents.
Import requirements differ by country and can change. Indonesian buyers should confirm current import permit, labelling, and clearance requirements with the relevant Indonesian authorities before shipment; admissibility remains the buyer's responsibility. Windhi can guide you on the documents Chemiseed provides from the Malaysian side.
Lead time and logistics
Lead time depends on species availability, order size, documentation, and the freight mode you choose. Sea freight is the usual option for estate-scale seed and SoilBoost EA orders to ports in Sumatra, Kalimantan, and other regions, while air freight suits smaller or time-sensitive consignments. Windhi confirms an indicative timeline with your quotation.
Payment, quotations, and order sizes
Quotations are issued in USD. Order quantities are flexible: estates can order at planting scale for full field establishment, while smaller trial volumes are available for growers who want to evaluate a species or SoilBoost EA before committing to a larger programme. Tell Windhi whether you are planning a trial or a full estate rollout and she will scope the quote accordingly.
For reference, typical leguminous cover crop seeding rates as pure stands are: Pueraria javanica 4 to 6 kg/ha, Calopogonium mucunoides 4 to 6 kg/ha, Centrosema pubescens 3 to 4.5 kg/ha, and Calopogonium caeruleum 3 to 4.5 kg/ha. Within a mixture the component rates are lower: PJ 3 to 7.5, CM 1 to 3, CP 0.5 to 3 and CC 0.6 to 1.5 kg/ha, and the best-cited published mixture is MPOB TT No. 501 (2012) treatment C2, PJ 4 : CP 3 : CC 1, total 8 kg/ha. Mucuna bracteata is nursery-raised and transplanted at about 320 seedlings/ha (roughly 85 to 100 g of seed/ha), never broadcast, so a kilogram-per-hectare rate for MB is wrong by a factor of roughly forty: please check any quotation that gives one. SoilBoost EA is applied by broadcast at 50 to 100 kg/ha or by drench at 10 to 15 kg/ha. Note that SoilBoost EA is a soil conditioner, not a fertiliser substitute.
