PLANT CHARACTER
Perennial, twining legume. Its stems become woody with age. Rooting in nodes when in contact with moist soil. May be hairy or nearly hairless. Will spread from stolons under favorable conditions.

USES
Green manure. Excellent ability to smother weeds and desirable grasses. Nitrogen fixer.

GROWTH HABIT
Tolerates heavy shade. Grows on soils as low as pH 4.0. More drought tolerant but slow to establish than CM and PJ. May take 20 months to achieve a complete cover.
