KEGUNAAN
Pengikatan nitrogen di bawah naungan, kawalan hakisan, penutup tanah dalam sistem koko dan agropenghutanan, dan penubuhan untuk penanaman semula dan perlindungan cerun. Centrosema pubescens mengekalkan pengikatan nitrogen biologi pada 120–270 kg N/ha/tahun walaupun di bawah naungan kanopi sehingga 80%, menjadikannya pilihan yang kuat di mana tanaman penutup lain bergelut di bawah kanopi koko atau getah yang tertutup.
